Malibu City Council Passes 2024-2025 Budget Amid Mild Controversy
The Malibu City Council on Monday voted to approve its 2024-2025 fiscal year budget. The city’s new fiscal year begins on July 1. Currently, the city employs 119 full-time equivalent employees, and the proposed budget calls for adding four more full-time employees: a management analyst, a deputy city clerk, an administrative assistant, and a community development director. The city will also be hiring three part-time employees.
