    Deerfield softball wins against Fall River, suffer first loss of the season to Johnson Creek

    The Demons suffered their first loss of the season in a 10-0 defeat against Johnson Creek on Thursday, April 11 at Johnson Creek High School.

    Hailey Kvalheim and Jenna Fincutter both hit home runs for the Bluejays. In the circle, Johnson Creek’s Hailee Walk pitched five innings and allowed just two hits.

    Deerfield is 4-1 on the season and 2-1 in the Trailways-South Conference. The Demons were ranked No. 2 in the Division 4 Coaches Poll for the week of April 8.

    Deerfield 15, Fall River 0

    The Deerfield softball team scored 12 runs in the bottom of the first inning in a 15-0 win over Fall River on Tuesday, April 9 at Deerfield High School.

    Junior Addison Klein led the Demons with three RBIs, while senior Chloe Moore, sophomore Riley Fisher and junior Rylee Betthauser each drove in two runs.

    Junior Lydia Mack, sophomore Lily Betthauser and junior Saige LaChance were also credited with an RBI.

    Klein pitched two innings, allowing zero hits and recording three strikeouts. Mack pitched the third and final inning, giving up zero hits and striking out the side.
