Kiefer Parish homers, Cambridge baseball thumps Wisconsin Dells

The Cambridge Blue Jays scored seven runs in the bottom of the first inning and never looked back, cruising to a 15-3 win over Wisconsin Dells on Monday at CHS.

Senior Marco Damiani scored junior Clayton Stenjem on an RBI double and then Damiani scored off an RBI triple from senior Owen Bernhardt. Senior Gavin Winslow then knocked in Bernhardt on an RBI single for the third run of the inning.

Senior Devin Schuchart then hit a single to score senior Carter Lund and senior Brayden Lund doubled home Winslow. Junior Kiefer Parish then hit a two-run double to score Schuchart and Brayden Lund, making the score 7-1 after the first.

Parish led the Blue Jays with four RBIs. Parish also hit a two-run homer to center field in the third inning, scoring Brayden Lund.

Bernhardt and Carter Lund were both credited with two RBIs, while Stenjem, Damiani, Winslow, Schuchart and Brayden Lund recorded an RBI.

On the mound, Parish earned the win with two innings pitched and four strikeouts.

Cambridge (4-4, 2-1) faces Wisconsin Heights on Tuesday.
