The Cambridge boys and girls track and field teams medaled in 14 events at the 35th Annual Deerfield Classic on Friday, May 3 at Deerfield High School. Each of the Brenkman sisters scored a hat trick as Sugar River defeated the Cambridge/Deerfield girls soccer team 8-0 on Tuesday, April 30 at CHS. Anya Brenkman scored in the fourth, 29th and 57th minute for the hat trick. Bella Brenkman scored in the sixth, 38th and 53rd minute. Hannah Boldebuck (54th) and Nikole Schultz (59th) also scored for Sugar River. Cambridge/Deerfield (1-7-1, 1-2) faces Jefferson on Friday at CHS. Cambridge's boys golf team held off some unexpected challengers to win Monday's Capitol Conference mini meet contested at Lake Ripley Country Club. The Blue Jays shot 159, edging Lakeside Lutheran (161) while also staving off Lake Mills (167) and Monticello/Belleville (167).
