    Parkview and Big Foot record slew of first-places at Cambridge Invitational

    CAMBRIDGE, Wis. — Sahara Boers-Augustine dominated the sprinting events and Karson Redman earned a victory both on the track and in the field as the Parkview track and field team had a strong showing at the Cambridge Invitational on Thursday.

    Boers-Augustine won the 200 meters after crossing the finish line in 27.49 seconds. The sophomore then won the 400 with a time of 1:03.97. She also anchored the second-place 4x400 (4:35.24) that featured Willow Crecelius, Loralei Arnold and Ann Keintz.

    Redman placed first in the 400 (53.29) and in the long jump (20-feet, 1.5-inches).

    The Vikings’ boys placed sixth in the meet with 48 points while Big Foot (35) was ninth as a team. Parkview’s girls (59) took sixth and the Chiefs (49) were seventh.

    The Belleville-Sugar River co-op won the boys meet with 145 points while Edgerton was next with 128. Deerfield’s girls took first as a team with 103 points and Edgerton took second with 92.

    Arnold, a freshman, finished first in the pole vault with a distance of nine feet and was eighth in the 300 hurdles (55.21). Crecelius placed second in the 100 hurdles (16.90) and Keintz threw the shot put 30-feet, 1.75-inches to place second and finished 8th in the discus (86’ 4).

    Greyson Cramer was seventh in the 200 (24.88) for the Vikings while Cal Fox was sixth in the 800 (2:19.12). Fox also took third in the pole vault (11’ 0). Mike Williams finished third in the shot put (42’ 6.25) and fourth in the discus (126’ 6).

    Big Foot had a pair of first-place finishers with state champion Kaden Rambatt continuing to dominate the pole vault as he soared to a height of 15-feet on Thursday and Lizzie Lueck placing first in the shot put (31’ 2.5).

    Lueck was also third in the discus (91’ 0) while teammates Lydia Olson (28’ 2.5) and Wrigley Grindle (28’ 1) finished 2-3 in the shot put.

    Ava Schoonover was ninth in the 200 (29.94) and fourth in the high jump (4’ 6) while Carla Castaneda placed eighth in the 800 (2:48.95). The 4x800 relay of Castaneda, Emme Nyman, Abby Hildebrandt and Miya Duesterbeck finished in second (11:29.81).

    Lishi Palmer took sixth in the pole vault (6’ 0).

    Hudson Torrez finished second on the boys side in the 100 (11.71) while Hoyst Dase was sixth in the 200 (24.86) and Ellijah Henningfeld was ninth in the 800 (2:22.61). Noah Langlund was ninth in the 1600 (5:34.70) and Bradley Galvin took seventh in the 3200 (12:04.09).

    Austin Kooyenga was 10th in the 110 hurdles (18.77). Kevin Dunkel placed eighth in the triple jump (34’ 9) and Anthony Gonzalez was 10th (33’ 9).
