    Parish, Lund and Bernhardt hit homers in a Cambridge baseball win against Marshall

    The Blue Jays hit three home runs in a 13-0 mercy-rule win over Marshall on Thursday, May 16 at Marshall High School.

    Junior Kiefer Parish hit a three-run homer in the second, scoring seniors Gavin Winslow and Brayden Lund.

    In the fourth, senior Owen Bernhardt hit a solo home run, while senior Carter Lund also belted a solo home run in the fifth.

    Also in the fifth, junior Clayton Stenjem hit a two-run double to score Parish and junior Will Reese.

    Carter Lund led the Blue Jays with four RBIs, while Parish added three RBIs. Brayden Lund, Bernhardt and Stenjem all recorded two RBIs. Bernhardt went 3x3 with a walk and two runs scored.

    Carter Lund pitched four innings for Cambridge, recording six strikeouts. Sophomore Jett Horton pitched the fifth, recording one strikeout.

    The Blue Jays (13-4, 9-1) compete in the Pecatonica Tri on Saturday, facing Pec at 11 a.m. and Brodhead at 1 p.m. at Pecatonica High School. Cambridge has won its last 10 games.
