Cambridge boys golf cruises to regional title, all of the Cambridge golfers take top 10

Cambridge's boys golf team blitzed the field to win the WIAA Division 3 regional held at Ives Grove Golf Course by 46 shots on Wednesday, May 22.

The Blue Jays shot 318 and were led by junior Kian Bystol-Flores, who shot a blistering round of 2-under 70 to win medalist accolades in his eighth straight tournament. He shot matching scores of 35 on the 'Red' and 'White" nines utilized for the tournament.

Cambridge senior Cade Nottestad shot 80 to place second, freshman Ben Baker shot 82 to finish third and junior Andrew Smith shot 86 to tie for fourth.

Junior Matt Buckman shot 88, tying for seventh, and his score was not counted in the team tally.

South Hills Country Club in Fond du Lac hosts the sectional tournament on Tuesday, May 28.

Team scores: Cambridge 318, The Prairie School 364, Kenosha St. Joseph Catholic 392, Williams Bay 403.
