Cambridge/Deerfield girls soccer eliminated from playoffs with loss to Edgewood

The Cambridge/Deerfield girls soccer season came to a close in a 9-0 loss to Edgewood in the regional semifinal on Thursday, May 30 at Edgewood High School.

United finishes the year with a record of 2-14. The seniors who will graduate from the roster are Zoey Rank, Alice Clemente, Ana Sarallo, Grace Carlson, Audrey Kessenich, Hailey Nett, Brynn Beattie, Kaila Buehler, Sylvia Boyd, Maya Pries, Samatha Slovacek, Paige Fleming and Ellen Castern.

Fort Atkinson 3, Cambridge/Deerfield 1

Fort Atkinson scored twice in the first period to earn a 3-1 victory over the Cambridge/Deerfield girls soccer team on Thursday, May 23 at CHS in non-conference action.

Fort Atkinson (3-12-2) scored in the second and 38th minute to take a 2-0 lead. Senior Brynn Beattie scored for United (2-13) in the 54th minute, but Fort Atkinson added another goal in the 65th minute.
