CAMDEN COUNTY, Mo. (KMIZ) A Kansas City man was charged after a chase with law enforcement early Monday resulted in him becoming seriously injured in a crash. Alex Dee, 29, was charged with resisting arrest and two misdemeanors: Driving while intoxicated and reckless driving. One Flown to University Hospital After Accident in Sunrise Beach
At least one person is injured in a traffic accident early this afternoon (07-22-2024) in the 700 block of American Legion Drive in the Sunrise Beach area. Sunrise Beach firefighters and other first responders arrived on the scene and discovered one person trapped inside the vehicle. The unidentified patient was extricated and transferred by Lake West Ambulance to the Sunrise Beach fire station where he, or she, was then flown to University Hospital.
Camden County umpire's assault case involving deputy is moved to Moniteau County
An assault case involving a baseball umpire and a Camden County deputy is moved to another county. Neal Sidebottom, of Versailles, was arrested in May 2023 on charges of first-degree assault of a special victim and resisting arrest. On Wednesday, a Camden County judge granted a request for a change of venue. The case will now be heard in Moniteau County.
