CAMDEN COUNTY, Mo. — The Camden County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO) is looking for two people for questioning after a restaurant employee was pushed into Lake of the Ozarks.

According to a release from CCSO, deputies were called to the Fish & Co. Restaurant in Camdenton for reports of an assault on June 28.

Deputies learned that a server had approached a group of patrons boarding a boat who hadn’t paid their tab. The employee grabbed a rail to prevent the boat from leaving, CCSO said, when a man grabbed the server’s arm and pulled her into the lake as the boat left the slip.

CCSO said the server climbed safely out of the water and was not injured.

Witnesses told deputies they didn’t know anyone in the group and believed them to be from out of state.

There were around half a dozen people who left on a red-decked pontoon boat, according to CCSO.

A Facebook post from the sheriff’s office says investigators are looking for information about those restaurant guests so they can be questioned. One man previously pictured on social media is cooperating with CCSO’s investigation. Anyone with information is asked to contact CCSO at 573-346-2243.
