If you’re ever in San Antonio and craving a seafood boil, make sure to stop by Hooked Boil House—this place is a game changer. It’s not your typical seafood boil joint, which is exactly what drew us in. We wanted all the flavors of a seafood boil but without committing to a full platter that we knew we wouldn’t finish.

I decided on the Smack Pack with crawfish tails over fried rice. It came with potatoes, corn, sausage, and a side of their signature boil sauce. I also couldn’t resist trying the garlic noodles, which turned out to be more cheesy than garlicky—definitely a delicious surprise. The best part? You can customize your meal to your liking, which made it all the more satisfying.

The portion sizes were beyond generous—we were pleasantly surprised by how much food we got. Even with our hearty appetites, we still had leftovers to take home. The food itself was spot on, with flavors that kept us coming back for more, and the service was just as impressive.
