You Won’t Believe the Best Fried Chicken in Boston: A Crispy Adventure!

Dining at Buttermilk & Bourbon in Boston was an experience that combined vibrant flavors with a lively atmosphere, and to top it off, it was one of the most budget-friendly group meals I’ve ever had in the city.

The menu at Buttermilk & Bourbon is designed for sharing, which made it perfect for our group. We decided to sample a variety of dishes, and it felt like a culinary adventure from start to finish. We started with the brisket nachos, which were loaded with tender, smoky brisket and all the fixings, making for a fantastic opener.

Next up were the alligator fries—crispy, golden, and served with a unique twist that added a bit of excitement to our meal. The mac and cheese was pure comfort food, creamy and rich, just what you’d expect from a Southern-inspired restaurant. But the real stars of the evening were the fried chicken sliders and the boneless fried chicken thighs, both drizzled with their sweet and spicy sauce. The sliders were perfectly portioned, with crispy, juicy chicken nestled in soft buns, and the boneless thighs were equally delicious, packed with flavor and just the right amount of kick.

What made the evening even better was how affordable the meal was, especially considering the quality and quantity of the food. It’s rare to find such a satisfying group dining experience in Boston without breaking the bank, but Buttermilk & Bourbon delivered on all fronts. If you’re in the city and looking for a place that combines Southern charm with Boston’s vibrant dining scene, this spot is a must-try.
