While people often hear talk of the nation's "Founding Fathers" not much is written about the "Founding Mothers."

Reservations are required by Friday for Founding Mothers of Barron County, the theme for the 2024 Her-Story Women's History Luncheon on Saturday, Aug. 3, at Pioneer Village Museum. It starts with a lunch at noon and presentation at 1 p.m. A dessert will follow the presentation.

The ticket price is $25. This includes admission into Pioneer Village Museum, lunch, presentation, dessert and one entry into the drawing for the door prizes. All attendees wearing a garden hat will get two additional entries in the drawing for door prizes. Call the Pioneer Village Museum at 715-458-2080 or purchase your ticket online at pioneervillagemuseum.org.

Croquet games will be set up on the lawn and transportation from the parking lot to the pavilion is available upon request. The museum is located at 1866 13½-14th Ave., Cameron.
