(MA) Get ready to open your heart to a wiry bundle of love named Chunk. This 2-year-old Chihuahua and Yorkshire Terrier mix pup recently came into rescue for heartbreaking reasons. Though he started his life as a cared for and well-loved pup, Chunk's owner sadly passed away, leaving Chunk all by his lonesome.

Luckily, Great Rescue New England was there to take Chunk into their care and place him safely with a foster. Now, Chunk only has one more big life change ahead of him, and that's moving into YOUR place!

    More Information On Chunk

Chunk is a 2-month-old Chihuahua and Yorkshire Terrier mix pup who weighs, as of 7/22/24, approximately 13 pounds. He has a wire coat length, which is listed as being brown, chocolate, black, red, chestnut, and orange. That's a lot of color! Chunk is neutered and up to date on his vaccinations.

According to Great Dog Rescue New England, an adorable little love bug! He was understandably a bit shy and confused after such a life-altering change, but he has quickly settled into life at his foster home. Chunk's favorite thing to do is spend all day cuddled up in his human's lap, but he also loves his playtime. He particularly enjoys playing with other pups who match his energy and are not too excessively hyper. His foster thinks he would do very well with kids 8 years old and up.

"He will make a wonderful addition to a loving family who is looking for a small breed dog who has lots of love to give!" - Great Dog Rescue New England / Petfinder
