Deceased Homeless Woman in Santa Rosa Stabbing Case Identified
A homeless woman who was found stabbed to death on a trail near Downtown Santa Rosa late Sunday night has been identified as 61-year-old Lisa Shiffer-McCool. McCool was found dead on the Prince Memorial Greenway, between Santa Rosa Avenue and A Street. Police say two “persons of interest” were detained for questioning earlier this week, then released. Investigators say there was a fight before the deadly stabbing.
Two Arrests Made in Deadly Jack in the Box Shooting in Santa Rosa From July 2023
Two young men are behind bars in connection with a deadly shooting that happened outside of a Jack in the Box restaurant in Santa Rosa. Twenty-two-year-old Daniel Perez-Mendoza and 19-year-old Christopher Perez-Mendoza of Clearlake were arrested during a traffic stop on Wednesday. The shooting left a 40-year-old man dead almost exactly a year ago, on July 23rd, 2023. The suspects are being held without bail and are due in court tomorrow. Charges have not yet been filed.
