NY weather update: Steuben County under a flash flood warning until Monday night
An updated flash flood warning was issued by the National Weather Service on Monday at 6:38 p.m. in effect until 9:45 p.m. for Steuben County. "At 6:38 p.m., local law enforcement reported thunderstorms producing heavy rain in Greenwood area. Between 1.5 and 3 inches of rain has already fallen. Flash flooding is already occurring," explains the weather service. "Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas."
