The hazy sunshine will continue on Tuesday with hot and humid conditions. Temperatures will be around 90 but feel even hotter due to the humidity levels. A shower or thunderstorm cannot be ruled out Tuesday night as a frontal system approaches. Lows will be in the mid to upper-60s. Showers and thunderstorms will be possible Wednesday as a front moves through. A few storms could contain gusty winds and heavy rain. Temperatures will be warm in the mid-80s with the humidity still there. A few showers will be possible into the late week, but most will be dry. Partly sunny skies on Thursday with highs in the upper-70s. We continue in the mid to upper-70s on Friday under mostly cloudy skies. Our next front will move through Saturday with scattered showers. Highs remain in the upper-70s and climb to the lower-80s on Sunday. Mostly sunny skies are expected Sunday before fair skies return on Labor Day. We could see the chance for a few showers on Monday as temperatures drop back into the mid-70s.

National Grid faces statewide protests following rate hike ask
National Grid is asking for its biggest rate hike in several decades. Now, the utility is getting pushback from protests across the state, including central New York. Protesters took to the streets in front of the Syracuse National Grid offices opposing rate hikes in favor of legislation that addresses energy affordability and climate change.
