Texas man ejected, killed in head-on crash in Fond du Lac County
FOND DU LAC, Wis. (WBAY) - A 19-year-old from Texas was killed in Fond du Lac County Thursday morning when the car he was driving crashed head-on with another car at a curve. The sheriff’s office says the crash happened on County Highway D near Hawes Court at about 7:30. An investigation shows the driver was failing to negotiate the curve on County D, overcorrected, and went into the oncoming lane.

Fond du Lac police are stepping up their presence at local hotels and motels this week during EAA AirVenture. In a Facebook post the Police Department says the Department has worked with local hotels and motels with a goal of raising awareness and educating managers and staff about identifying potential dangers and signs of sex trafficking. FDLPD says it has a “good working relationship with local hotels/motels and enable them to assist our officers and investigators by identifying and reporting unwanted customers or visitors involved in criminal activity.” The department says it will have additional officers deployed in marked patrol squads and unmarked vehicles during EAA targeting those who check into area hotels/motels to use, deliver, or sell narcotics or engage in sex trafficking.
