    Canby doles out Community Enhancement Grants to projects

    The City of Canby has awarded $48,000 to local community projects as part of the 2023-2024 Community Enhancement Grant program.

    The Community Enhancement Grant program was created to assist in funding nonprofits, not-for-profit organizations, city boards and committees, neighborhood associations, and homeowners associations. The grant can be spent on projects, programs, and events which improve and enrich Canby.

    The City of Canby awarded Community Enhancement Grants to the following projects:

    Saturdays in the Park, Bridging CulturesHighway 99E Beautification, Canby Area BeautificationCanby Dahlia Run, Canby Area Chamber of Commerce FoundationCommunity Park Rehabilitation, Canby Garden ClubJuly 4th Pancake Breakfast, Canby Historical SocietyCanby Depot Display Upgrade, Canby Historical SocietyYouth Sports Programs, Canby KidsFood and Toy Drive, Canby KiwanisSlice of Summer, Canby Livability CoalitionSecond Chance Prom, Canby PrideJuly 4th Fireworks, Canby Volunteer Fire AssociationBuilding Improvements, Champoeg Masonic LodgeWelcome Sign Landscaping, Jason PaddenBook Blast Reading Program, The Canby Center

    The Community Enhancement Grant program was created in the 2022-2023 fiscal year as a pilot program to fund projects, programs, and events that support and enhance Canby. The program will return for the third year and will open in late winter/early spring 2025.
