    KNOX TRUSTEES – Knox Township trustees plan a regular meeting at 7 p.m. Tuesday at 2895 Knox School Road. Trustees convene at 6:45 p.m. to review bills.

    LIBRARIES CLOSED – Rodman Public Library and the Branch Library will be closed all day Saturday due to the Greater Alliance Carnation Festival's Grand Parade.

    FALL FISH SALE – Mahoning Soil & Water Conservation District plans its annual fall fish sale from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. Sept. 26 at the Canfield Fairgrounds, 7265 Columbiana Canfield Road. The sale will include a variety of fingerling-sized fish, including fathead minnows, largemouth bass, bluegill, hybrid bluegill, channel catfish, red-ear sunfish (shell cracker), yellow perch, white amur, and Japanese koi. In addition to fish, essential pond-related products such as fish food, pond conditioner, and pond maintenance books will also be available for purchase. Orders must be submitted to the district office by Sept. 20 by contacting the district office at 330-740-7995 or askswcd@mahoningcountyoh.gov. The order form is available on the district’s website . Participants should bring their own containers to transport the fish. Five-gallon buckets with unscented poly liners (30-gallon trash bags) are recommended. Containers should be filled with pond water, only one-third full. Each container can hold up to 100 small fish, 1,000 minnows, or 4-5 amurs and koi.     SRMC GALA – Salem Regional Medical Center will feature Shannon Miller, Olympic gymnast and ovarian cancer survivor, as its featured speaker for its 2024 Gala on Nov. 8 at Waypoint 4180 in Canfield.
