Toccoa Municipal Court Hearing Results in Shutdown of Regency Inn
During a Toccoa Municipal Court session Thursday Morning, July 25, Judge Robert Sneed heard testimony from Toccoa Chief of Police Jimmy Mize and statements from City Attorney John Dickerson as well as testimony and comments from Gopal Pal, resident manager of Regency Inn on West Currahee Street in Toccoa, and Pal’s attorney James Irvin.

The City of Franklin Springs is celebrating its Centennial this weekend with a community event behind City Hall. The event takes place Saturday evening from 6p to 9p and will include a host of fun activities for the family, including food trucks, train rides, and a water slide for the kiddos.
Final Franklin BOE Millage Public Hearing Tonight Before Vote
The Franklin County Board of Education is its third and final public hearing today on its plan to leave the millage rate the same for the upcoming fiscal year. A third and final public hearing on the millage takes place tonight at 6p at the Board of Education Administrative Offices, 280 Busha Road in Carnesville.
