    PEORIA, Ill. (WMBD/WYZZ) — Freshman Kash VanHouten allowed one run over five innings to lead visiting Canton past Mid-Illini Conference leader Dunlap, 2-1, in high school baseball on Wednesday.

    VanHouten struck out ten as Canton handed Dunlap (17-3, 7-1) its first conference loss of the season. The Little Giants grabbed their first win in ten games in the Mid-Illini.

    Elsewhere, Morton pitcher Tanner Spangler struck out 14 as the Potters won at Limestone, 7-2, to pull into a first place tie with Dunlap. Spangler also had a pair of hits and drove in three runs for the Potters (13-3, 7-1).

    Other baseball winners Wednesday included East Peoria, Metamora, Normal Community, and Illini Bluffs.
