    Canton Police say 12-year-old runaway who left home on her bike on Tuesday has been found

    CANTON (WWJ) -- Canton Police say a preteen girl who was reported missing on Tuesday has been found, and his back home safe.

    Police said 12-year-old Kaydence Lucas of Canton was seen riding a green and blue mountain bike away from a neighborhood southwest of the intersection of Ford and Morton Taylor Roads on Tuesday.

    Police noted that Lucas left voluntarily, and was believed to be traveling alone.

    In an update shared later Tuesday, police wrote: "The Canton Police Department is happy to report that Ms. Lucas has been located and returned safely to her family. We thank the public and our media partners for their assistance."

    Police did not say where the missing child was found.
