PLAIN TWP. − Investigators are looking for a missing 24-year-old woman who never showed up for work Monday morning.

Her live-in boyfriend later ran away after Stark County sheriff's deputies stopped him as he drove the missing woman's vehicle.

Raychel Sheridan of Orchard Dale Drive NW was last seen or heard from Saturday, her concerned mother told deputies, according to Sheriff George Maier. His office later said deputies after not finding her at her home or in the surrounding area have added Sheridan's name and information to a national database of missing persons.

Deputies continue the search for her and her boyfriend, Sean Goe, 26, Maier said.

According to criminal complaints filed in May in Canton Municipal Court, a Stark deputy alleged that Goe on May 3 had committed the misdemeanor of domestic violence against Sheridan. The complaint says, "Sean Goe did knowingly make the mother of his unborn child, Raychel Sheridan, believe that he was going to cause her serious physical harm by saying, "I'm going to (expletive) you up!"

The deputy also alleged that Goe committed criminal damaging by cutting holes in the tires of Sheridan's vehicle so she could not drive it.

A statement by the sheriff's office, which provided an updated timeline, said deputies responded to Sheridan's mother's request for a welfare check of her daughter on Orchard Dale Drive NW at 12:32 p.m. Tuesday.

During an initial search, they spotted Goe driving Sheridan's maroon Jeep Liberty vehicle north on Guilford Avenue NW, which intersects with Orchard Dale. Deputies pulled him over at the north end of Guilford by Covered Bridge Park in the city of Canton. Maier said Goe stopped the vehicle and then ran away.

Deputies called in K-9s from Massillon Police, but deputies were unable to find Goe, the sheriff said.

They then spent the next several hours scouring Sheridan's and Goe's basement-level apartment for clues.

Deputies said they learned that Goe had been spotted on foot around Guildford and 38th Street NW around 4 p.m..

The mother, who had a key, let the investigators into her daughter's and Goe's apartment in the three-story brick building on Orchard Dale. Maier declined to comment on what deputies found there, except deputies did not find any indication of Sheridan's whereabouts. They found nothing that suggested she had left in a rush. Nor have they found Sheridan's phone.

    Raychel Sheridan is missing

The sheriff spoke Tuesday evening outside Sheridan's apartment building as uniformed deputies and detectives in suits searched her apartment, the area around her building and questioned residents. Six sheriff's vehicles were parked outside the building. Some motorists slowed down to try to see what was going on.

Goe is wanted on warrants accusing him of committing the misdemeanors of domestic violence and criminal damaging, alleged by Sheridan in May, as well as felonies of grand theft of a firearm and burglary and the misdemeanor of criminal damaging.

North Canton police last month filed criminal complaints against Goe alleging that he burglarized an apartment in North Canton on April 2 on Rose Lane SW, stole a 9-milimeter Glock gun and damaged the front entry door, according to court records.

"He is a person we would like to talk to in this case," the sheriff said, adding that deputies want to question him so they can locate Sheridan.

Missing Plain Township woman may be pregnant

In a public May 15 Facebook post where she was seeking to give away a cat she had found, Sheridan, who had two other cats, mentioned she was pregnant.

Maier said deputies have impounded the Jeep Liberty and will search the vehicle for evidence.

Maier asked anyone with information to help them find Sheridan and Goe call deputies at 330-430-3800 or contact deputies through the Stark County Sheriff's mobile app. He warned that Goe could be armed.

In 2017, Goe pleaded guilty in Stark County Common Pleas Court to burglary, receiving stolen property and heroin possession, according to court records. Then-Judge John Haas sentenced him to four years in prison and to pay $5,500 in restitution. Prosecutors said Goe in 2016 burglarized a Jackson Township home and sold $24,000 in jewelry stolen in the burglary.
