Wanted: Canton kidnapping suspects who allegedly beat victims with baseball bat

CANTON , Ohio (WJW) — Law enforcement is asking for the public’s help in finding three kidnapping and felonious assault suspects on the run, even offering a reward.

Fugitives Jermaine Taylor, 33, Cassandra Cheek, 34, and Tyson Dean, 37, are wanted by the U.S. Marshals Service and Canton Police Department for allegedly holding two victims in a basement on the 1500 block of Clark Avenue Southwest from July 10 to July 12.

During that time, Marshals said both victims were seriously harmed by the suspects, and were beaten with a baseball bat and a firearm.

The Marshals office did not release the name of the victims and it’s not clear how they were able to get way from the suspects. The three suspects are reportedly known to hang out in the area of Cleveland and Akron.

The Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force is offering money to anyone who has information leading to the arrest of the suspects. Those with tips can reach out to the task force by calling 1-866-4WANTED, and can be anonymous.
