Canute Man Dies While Changing Tire
A Canute man lost his life in Oklahoma County after a pick up on a jack fell on him while he was changing a tire on Friday night. According to a report provided by the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, the accident occurred just before 7:30 p.m. on the shoulder of the westbound lanes of Interstate 40, 6 miles south of Choctaw when while changing the driver’s side rear tire off of a 2018 Ford F-350, the pickup slipped off the jack and fell onto 54-year-old Clayton Barton.
Foss Man Critically Injured in One Vehicle Accident
A Foss man was critically injured Monday afternoon after being involved in a one vehicle accident near Burns Flat in Washita County. Troopers with the Oklahoma Highway Patrol reported that the accident occurred at 2:18 p.m. on OK-44 1 mile north of Burns Flat when 86-year-old Clarence A Stamm departed the road to the right and struck a culvert with his 2008 Chevrolet.
LA Man Discovered with Illegal Drugs in Beckham Co.
A Los Angeles man was arrested in Beckham County late last month after being found with various illegal narcotics during a traffic stop on Interstate 40. According to a probable cause affidavit, 60-year-old Eric Michael Tucker was pulled over for a simple traffic violation on the afternoon of June 20 in Beckham County near mile marker 38 in Elk City.
