Napier sinks two eagles to grab early lead at Texas State Open
On Tanner Napier’s fifth hole of the day — par five No. 14 — he made an eagle. After three straight pars, Napier did it again with an eagle on No. 18. “I didn’t hardly miss a shot,” Napier said. “I missed a few, but I got away with them. I chipped in on 18 for an eagle, which is awesome. I made another eagle on 14, so I eagled both par fives on the back. I’m not sure I’ve ever done that. It was just awesome.”

Judge Sherri Tibbe dropped Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton’s suit against San Marcos on Monday. Paxton has already filed a motion to appeal the dismissal, according to the city.
