Canyon Chamber of Commerce releases Independence Day Celebration schedule

CANYON, Texas (KAMR/KCIT) — The Canyon Chamber of Commerce released the schedule for the Independence Day celebration, which begins on July 3.

According to officials with the city of Canyon, the celebration kicks off with Kickin’ it in Canyon featuring live music by Mike Ryan at the Lumberyard with gates opening at 6 p.m. Tickets are available online for Kickin’ it in Canyon for $30 per person.

Officials noted that events will continue on July 4, beginning with the Canyon Lions Club Pancake Breakfast at 7 a.m. to 10 a.m. and other events, including:

• Hometown Fair on the Square from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Canyon’s downtown square;
• 4th Avenue Firecracker Mile beginning at 9:30 a.m. on 4th Ave;
• Canyon’s Independence Day Parade beginning at 10 a.m. on 4th Ave; and
• The 4th of July Fireworks Show at Conner Park with fireworks starting at dark.
