A Cape Coral teenager who died in a swimming accident earlier this month will be remembered at his high school on Wednesday.

A memorial service for Isaac Breese will take place at the North Fort Myers High School Stadium, at 5000 Orange Grove Blvd, at 7 p.m.

The 17-year-old went missing while swimming with friends at Blind Pass Beach off Sanibel Island and Captiva on July 2. Police received 911 reports of distressed swimmers at Blind Pass just before noon. While rescuers saved two swimmers, Isaac remained missing. Multiple agencies participated in the search, which continued until July 4 when the Sanibel Police Marine Patrol Unit recovered Breese's remains.

Breese would have entered his senior year at North Fort Myers High School this fall. He’s known for being the goalkeeper of the high school’s soccer team.

The service is open to the community. Organizers encourage attendees to wear fluorescent colors or a soccer jersey to honor Isaac. The attire for the event is informal.
