Biden Mixes Up Names After Enjoying Milkshake Treat

    • President Joe Biden enjoyed a 'triple thick' milkshake at Cook Out in North Carolina.
    • He mistakenly referred to being photographed with Rep. Deborah Ross, who wasn't present.
    • The visit followed a speech where he promoted high-speed internet access across America.

During a visit to North Carolina, President Joe Biden made an impromptu stop at a Cook Out restaurant, indulging in a 'triple thick' milkshake made of vanilla and chocolate syrup.

The 81-year-old President paid for his treat with cash, also ordering a bacon cheeseburger and fries. This casual moment came after his speech in Raleigh, where he was pitching his economic plan, focusing on connecting homes to high-speed internet.

The visit was part of a broader strategy to target North Carolina, a state narrowly lost to Donald Trump in the 2020 election, as a potential pickup in the 2024 race. Biden's campaign believes they can flip the state despite Trump leading in polls in other key states like Michigan and Wisconsin.

However, Biden's relaxed demeanor shifted during his speech when he mistakenly referred to a photo opportunity with North Carolina Democratic Representative Deborah Ross. Realizing his error, he corrected himself, acknowledging that Ross was actually in Washington, fighting for her constituents. This mix-up was reminiscent of a previous gaffe in 2022 when Biden mistakenly called out for Rep. Jackie Walorski, forgetting her recent passing. Despite these moments, Biden continued to emphasize his commitment to being a president for all Americans, advocating for nationwide investments in infrastructure and technology.
