Roslyn Board of Education Members Sworn In
Michael Levine, David Seinfeld, and David Dubner took the oath of office as Board Trustees at the July 2, 2024, Roslyn BOE meeting. Meryl Ben-Levy was appointed Board President and Michael Levine was appointed Board Vice-President. The full board now consists of President Meryl Waxman Ben-Levy, Vice President Michael Levine, and trustees David Dubner, Alison Gilbert, Robert Koonin, Leigh Minsky, and David Seinfeld. Also sworn in for the 24-25 school year were Superintendent Allison Brown, District Clerk Nancy Carney Jones, Treasurer Winsome Ware, and Assistant Treasurer Ed Joyce.
Roslyn School District Announces New Roles & Appointments for 24-25 School Year
The Roslyn School District is pleased to announce several new roles and appointments for the 24-25 school year. Harbor Hill Elementary School Assistant Principal Justin Gabrus will transition to the role of Assistant Principal at Roslyn Middle School. Mr. Gabrus joined the district in 2021. He earned his Bachelor of Arts in Childhood Education from SUNY Old Westbury, and his Master of Science at Touro College. He also holds several certifications, including, School Building Leadership, Childhood Education, and Literacy.
Class of 1961 girls go crazy
On Monday, July 15, some of the "girls" from the Port Chester High School Class of 1961 had a lovely lunch at Sergios's Saw Pit in Port Chester. Albertson’s Henry Viscardi School Receives Additional $522,000 in State Funding
Speaker Carl Heastie (D-Bronx) and Assemblymember Gina Sillitti (D-Port Washington) announced additional funding for the Henry Viscardi School during a recent stop on the speaker’s annual statewide tour, bringing the school’s state funding to 1.25 million dollars, according to a press release from Speaker Heastie and Assemblymember Silitti’s offices.

Pleines Piano Students Perform In Recital And Win National Honors

Manhasset Parent Association For Special Education Receives Grant
The Manhasset Parent Association for Special Education (PASE) would like to thank the Manhasset Community Fund for their generous grant to our non-profit organization. Manhasset PASE was founded in 1990 to support the needs of special education students in the district. Our mission is to be a driving force in the development and enhancement of special education programs offered in Manhasset. The grant from the Manhasset Community Fund will allow us to fund programs that directly impact and benefit special education students in Manhasset. With this grant, we will be able to continue to provide programs, workshops and scholarships to our special education students and their families. It is with sincere gratitude and deep appreciation that we thank the Manhasset Community Fund for their continued support and generous grant to our organization.

New Rochelle Youth Eco-Ambassadors to Host Middle Schoolers for a Day of Marine Science on the Sound at Five Islands Park
On Thursday, July 18th, the New Rochelle Youth Bureau Eco-Ambassadors will host 150 middle schoolers from Mercy College’s STEM program for a day of coastal science activities at Five Islands Park.
