Police: Suspects wanted after 2 Carle Place nail salons burglarized

Nassau County police say a burglary happened at Blooming Nails and Spa on Westbury Avenue in Carle Place shortly before 1:30 a.m. Wednesday. According to police, a man threw a rock through the front glass door then entered the nail salon, stole money and ran off. The subject is described as a white male, height 5 feet 9 inches or 5 feet 10 inches, 160 pounds with brown hair, and he was wearing a mask. News 12 was told the same thing happened at Sunny Nail Club on Voice Road in Carle Place between midnight and 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, less than a half a mile away from the other nail salon. Police have not said if the two burglaries are connected or have given details on how much money was stolen. Dominick Gismundi, a construction director working in the mini shopping mall where Sunny Nail Club is located, said, "It’s a nice neighborhood. Why would you want to hear something like that, especially when you build something nice for the neighborhood?"
