Statement Regarding This Evening's Fireworks Show
During this evening’s Wheaton Park District Independence Day fireworks display at Graf Park, the show’s fireworks display operator experienced a malfunction with one of the show’s fireworks. As a result, the remainder of the show was terminated. The Wheaton Fire Department was on site during the event, and there were no injuries resulting from the firework malfunction. As a precaution, the remainder of the show was suspended and the park was cleared for the evening. City of Wheaton safety personnel were on site and responded according to the safety plans in place in partnership with the Wheaton Park District.

A dentist in Elgin, Ill., was placed on probation by the Illinois Board of Dentistry for billing, records and conduct violations. The dental license of Santhi Yenna, DDS, was placed on probation with conditions for 18 months due to gross irregularities in billing, willfully making or filing false records, failure to establish and maintain records of patient care and treatment, and unprofessional conduct, according to a report from the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation.
