The gunfire that hit three people rang out nearly three weeks ago at an apartment complex on East Cornwallis Road. The victim’s mother was also grazed in the head with a bullet.

DURHAM, NC – Investigators with the Durham Police Department’s Robbery Unit charged Treyvon Demario Hasty with Robbery with a Dangerous Weapon, Possession of a Firearm by a Felon, Assault with a Deadly Weapon Inflicting Serious Injury, and Kidnapping stemming from an armed robbery that occurred at the BP convenience store located at 2685 Durham Chapel Hill Blvd on May 29, 2024. During this incident, the store clerk was shot by Hasty.

Durham City Manager Plans Retirement in December
Wanda Page, the current city manager, expects to end her career with the City of Durham in December after 36 years of service. Duke Announces 2024 Volleyball Schedule
DURHAM - With the 54th season in program history approaching this fall, head coach Jolene Nagel and the Duke volleyball program announced the 2024 schedule Tuesday. The 31-match regular-season slate runs from August to November and features 10 matches against 2023 NCAA Tournament teams, including NCAA semifinalist Pittsburgh. After transferring to UNC from Kent State, then losing a third of his season in Chapel Hill, the wideout from Charlotte now finds himself in Baltimore, preparing to catch passes from Lamar Jackson with the Ravens. Walker took a break from his busy summer to join Tommy Ashley and Joey Powell for a new episode of The 40 Club. The three discuss everything from Walker's first experience with football, smack-talk, being humbled, and living a realized dream.
