Tampa police seek help identifying suspects in armed gas station robbery
TAMPA, Florida — Tampa Police Investigators are seeking assistance in identifying three armed suspects who robbed a local gas station early this morning. Surveillance video showed three suspects, dressed in all black and with face coverings, entering the store on the 800 block of West Waters Avenue at 1:30 a.m. The suspects then walked behind the counter while pointing a gun at an employee. After taking tobacco products and money from the registers, the suspects left the store in an unknown direction, according to the Tampa Police Department.

TAMPA, Fla. — A Tampa Police Department officer is on administrative leave following his arrest for a reported domestic violence incident, authorities say. Investigators say Cornelius Young, who had been with TPD since November 2023, was arrested in an off-duty incident in Sun City on Wednesday, July 17, after a reported verbal fight with a woman he knew turned physical, the agency said in a news release. The victim had minor injuries.
