A 45,273 square foot self-storage facility in SeaTac traded hands recently in a deal that shows investors continue to flock to the region. The site was sold for $10 million, or about $220 per square foot, according to King County property records. The seller was an entity affiliated with GMC Projects, a real estate development firm based in British Columbia. The buyer was an entity affiliated with Greystar, a Charleston, S.C.-based real estate development firm. Industry reports show that Greystar is planning to redevelop the site as a 289-unit apartment complex.

Well-known for their successful multi-family rental communities, Class A industrial and commercial projects, Tarragon envisions Uplands to be an active and socially connected community. Uplands will bring to market a diversity of home types, the first 155 of which will be built by four trusted homebuilders. The initial homes will range in size from 2,000 to 3,500 square-feet.
