Pyramid and Slate fires battle on: Crews fight flames, smoky skies linger
LINN COUNTY, Ore. — The Pyramid Fire is currently burning 615 acres and is 5% contained. It is located east of Middle Santiam Wilderness, and was caused by lightning. On Thursday, bulldozers, masticators, and heavy equipment finished building most of the control line around the fire perimeter using the existing road system.
