Worldwide Software Outage Affecting Central Minnesota
(KNSI) – A global technology outage is causing disruptions in central Minnesota. The issue led to the St. Cloud Regional Airport canceling its Allegiant flight to Mesa, Arizona, on Friday. The Stearns County License Center is not able to process driver’s licenses, and the Stearns County Sheriff’s Office’s non-emergency number is also affected.
52nd Litomysl Summer Festival July 28th South of Owatonna
The annual Litomysl Summer festival is set for Sunday, July 28th at the Holy Trinity Catholic Church just south of Owatonna. The 170 families of the parish will host the event, which is one of the largest summer parish festivals held in Minnesota each year. The country style festival draws people from all over.

MINNEAPOLIS — Call centers are coming back online after a global Microsoft outage knocked out 911 for counties across the nation Friday morning. Companies that use Microsoft have been affected by the outages across the world starting Thursday night and persisting into Friday morning. Many people are stuck in airport lines or stranded at their destination temporarily as airlines race to get planes back in the air.

Surface water has been warming quickly on Lake Superior the last couple of weeks, now in the 60s to low 70s across much of Western Lake Superior, except portions of the North Shore which are in the mid to upper 50s. Cold water in the 40s lurks below the warm surface water, and could mix in with a strong upwelling event should it occur.

MINNEAPOLIS — The global Microsoft outage is causing mass flight cancellations and delays nationwide Friday morning, including at Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport.
