Two Men Hospitalized in Separate Shootings on San Antonio's West and South Sides
Violence has once again shaken the streets of San Antonio, with shootings on both the West and South sides of the city hospitalizing two men. Early this morning, in the 1200 block of Longmont, a man in his twenties was shot in the arm. Found seeking refuge at the Circle K convenience store on Marbach Road, the victim was subsequently transported to University Hospital and is reported to be in stable condition. Fox San Antonio informs that the San Antonio Police Department currently has no suspects and awaits a chance to further interview the victim.
San Antonio Police Investigate After Decomposed Body Found at Woodward Park
Authorities are currently investigating after a body was discovered at Woodward Park on the northeast side of San Antonio. As per KENS 5, the San Antonio Police Department (SAPD) responded to a call at the 1000 block of Locke Street around 6:30 p.m. last Friday. Parkgoers had encountered what appeared to be human remains near the baseball field's southeast corner in Woodard Park.

A new direction has seemingly been confirmed for SeaWorld San Antonio. For 60 years, SeaWorld has built its name on marine animals, attractions, and entertainment. Established in 1964 with the first park in San Diego, SeaWorld has since expanded to include locations in Orlando, Florida, and San Antonio, Texas, with all three parks primarily known for their live shows featuring dolphins, sea lions, and orcas.

“Xicanx” Exhibition Surveys Chicana/o/x Art in San Antonio
Xicanx: Dreamers + Changemakers | Soñadores + creadores del cambio, a sweeping exhibition at the Contemporary at Blue Star in San Antonio, features works by 32 artists. Nearly two-thirds of these artists are from San Antonio, which endows the show with a very heavy local accent. Several artists are from California. The states of New Mexico, Colorado, Illinois, and Arizona are also represented, mostly by one artist each. Xicanx is a reduced version of the exhibition presented in a far larger space at the Museum of Anthropology (MOA) at the University of British Columbia in conjunction with The Americas Research Network (ARENET). It is curated by Jill Baird, former Curator of Education at MOA, and Greta de León, Executive Director, ARENET. The exhibition website has a full listing of artists and a short curatorial statement.
