A delegation of elected officials, athletes and bid organizers are heading to Paris next week where the International Olympic Committee will vote on whether the Games should return to Salt Lake City in 2034. The bid team is bringing along several Parkites, including Youth Sports Alliance Executive Director Emily Fisher.

The competition in the Rock Hill Sports and Event Center was fierce as New World won the U15 division, Austin Rivers Southeast Elite the U16U and the Utah Prospects emerged victorious in the U17 final.
Utah teenager who disappeared in Mexico City found unharmed; FBI arrests her uncle
The American 14-year-old teenager who had disappeared in Mexico City last week, Elizabeth González, was found unharmed in another state, the FBI announced. Authorities added that an uncle of hers has been arrested in relation to the case on kidnapping charges. 31-year-old Antonio Moreno, who also lives in Utah, traveled to Mexico with González and his two daughters.

USU researchers work with UDOT to develop vertiports for urban air transportation
A group at Utah State University is working with the Utah Department of Transportation to bring air transportation to an urban level using vertiports. Allegedly intoxicated e-biker arrested in Sun Peak neighborhood
A Summit County sheriff’s deputy saw the man swerving in the Sun Peak neighborhood of Park City around 11 p.m. July 14, according to Chief Deputy Kacey Bates. The arresting deputy said they saw the biker nearly collide with vehicles multiple times and drift into oncoming traffic before they pulled him over.
