Couple charged for allegedly not feeding children, locking them in room
Sunbury, Pa. — The children of Alexis Marie Anstey, 27, and David Joseph Heller, 34, of Sunbury, told police they had been locked inside their room for 10 hours and hit with various items, including a belt. Anstey and Heller now face a combined 48 charges for the alleged incidents which police began investigating on June 29, 2023. Danville, Pa. — Surveillance video provided by a restaurant contradicted a man’s story about a car hitting him and attempting to drive away. Deadly crash in Schuylkill County
MINERSVILLE, SCHUYLKILL CO. (WOLF) — One woman is dead following a crash Friday morning in Minersville. According to Skook News, police say the crash occured in the area of Sunbury Road and River Street. 85 year-old Dolores Ostrowsky was the passenger of the vehicle traveling west on on the Seltzer Highway.
Woman cited for leaving dog in hot car
Selinsgrove, Pa. — A woman was cited Monday for leaving a dog in a hot vehicle for over an hour. Trp. Joseph Civello of state police at Selinsgrove says Dontay Shalease M. Wiley, 30, of Sunbury, was parking at a shopping center at 980 N. Susquehanna Trail in Monroe Township when someone discovered the dog inside her vehicle shortly before 5:30 p.m. The temperature outside was 90 degrees, and the temperature inside the vehicle was more than 100 degrees that day, according to Civello. A Hazleton man has been charged for leading St. Clair Police in a pursuit back in April. According to St. Clair Police, on April 23rd, 2024, Officers attempted to stop a black 4-door Acura Sedan that was clocked at 65 mph in a posted 45 mph zone in the area of Route 61 and Terry Rich Boulevard.
