Nine Huskies Named to CSC Academic All-District At-Large Team
GREENWOOD, Ind. – Nine Bloomsburg student-athletes have earned College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District At-Large honors. Matt Pulcinella (Chadds Ford, Pa./Garnet Valley) from the men's golf team earned his first career CSC Academic All-District distinction after recording an average score of 81.6 in 12 rounds during the 2023-24 season. He posted a season-low 78 on two occasions.

East Stroudsburg math teacher accused of recording fiancée's daughters in bathroom
A man employed by East Stroudsburg Area School District is accused of recording his fiancée's two minor daughters in the bathroom without their knowledge. John Swineford, of East Stroudsburg, was charged in May with endangering the welfare of children, invasion of privacy, tampering with or fabricating physical evidence and possessing instruments of a crime.
West Mahanoy rescinds approval of home to be razed in Girard Estate demo program
SHENANDOAH HEIGHTS – One of the homes previously approved to be razed as part of the Girard Estate’s demolition program will not meet the wrecking ball after all. West Mahanoy Township Supervisors approved eight demolitions at last month’s regular meeting, mostly in William Penn with two in Brownsville.
Investigators release details on plane crash
Lock Haven, Pa. — Investigators have released their preliminary report into the plane crash that killed a 17-year-old Hughesville girl earlier this month. A witness near the site told investigators the Cessna 172N airplane, flown by Maisie Bitler, was only 200 feet above the ground when it passed over him just before the crash. The plane had made a sudden left turn while above the runway at the William T. Piper Memorial Airport in Lock Haven, according to the National Transportation Safety Board. ...
