PBL volleyball wins season opener over Centennial
CHAMPAIGN — Tanner Graham, a senior on the Paxton-Buckley-Loda lady Panther volleyball team, looks diminutive on the volleyball court. But on Monday night, the 5-foot-5 defensive specialist/libero stood tall. Much taller than 5-5. She ended the match, the first of the year for the Lady Panthers with a kill. While the match-winning kill is definitely the highlight of anyone’s match, she also had a notable precursor as she served up the game-winning ace for the win in the first game. PBL would win a 2-1 decision over Champaign Centennial. They would take games one and three, posting scores of 25-23, 19-25 and 15-11.
