150+ NC roads still closed due to Debby flooding, other impacts; full list of central NC road closures

RALEIGH, N.C. (WNCN) — Following Tropical Storm Debby hitting North Carolina with 10 inches of rain and wind gusts — along with a few tornadoes — more than 150 roads across the state are still closed from the storm, according to the North Carolina Department of Transportation .
In central North Carolina, Wayne County, Wilson County and Sampson County appear to be impacted the most with more than 30 road closures due to Tropical Storm Debby, NCDOT reported on Saturday.
Some roads are expected to reopen later Saturday but others could be closed for days, according to the agency.
The roads are marked as simply closed or as impassible. Some are attributed to a “road obstruction” and it’s very unclear from NCDOT reports if roads are flooded, are washed out or blocked by downed trees or other objects.
Here is the list for central North Carolina counties. The first date is when the road was initially closed and the second date is when it is expected to be open.
