    Man crashes vehicle; arrested after leading NC law enforcement on three county chase

    BEULAVILLE, N.C. (WNCT) — A Chinquapin man was arrested after he failed to stop and led law enforcement on a high-speed pursuit.

    It happened Thursday near the intersection of N.C. 241 and N.C. 111 in Beulaville. The chase went through Duplin County and Jones County before ending in Onslow County.

    The chase ended when Donovan Brian Chase crashed his vehicle into the woods. He was taken into custody at that time.

    Chase was charged with:

    • Felony fleeing to elude arrest with a motor vehicle
    • Felony possession of a schedule II controlled substance
    • Possession of a drug paraphernalia
    • Driving while license revoked
    • Driving while impaired
    • Displaying a fictitious registration plate
    • Driving with no insurance
    • Speeding
    • Reckless driving to endanger
    • Window tint
    • Failure to wear a seat belt

    Due to Chase having pending charges, he was jailed without bond. In addition to the charges, Chase was served with an outstanding order for arrest and given a $40,000 secured bond.
