33-year-old inmate at Donaldson prison dies

BESSEMER, Ala. ( WIAT ) — An inmate at William Donaldson Correctional Facility has died following a medical issue on Wednesday.

33-year-old Coron Brian Abdullah, who was serving a sentence for murder and robbery out of Macon County, was found unresponsive in the prison infirmary around 6:55 a.m. Wednesday. Adbullah was in the infirmary for treatment of an undisclosed medical issue at the time.

The final cause of death will be determined through additional lab studies.

The Alabama Department of Corrections is investigating the circumstances surrounding Abdullah’s death.
