JEFFERSON COUNTY, Ala. ( WIAT ) — The Jefferson County Coroner’s Office is asking for the public’s help locating the family of a Pleasant Grove man who recently died.

54-year-old Thomas Arthur Mayberry Jr. was a tenant at the Caregivers of Pleasant Grove Skilled Nursing and Rehab Center and under the care of Oasis Hospice. Mayberry died of natural causes at the facility on August 10, according to the coroner’s office.

Nursing staff had no known family or emergency contacts listed for Mayberry at the time of his death. He previously lived at a home on the 1900 block of 13th Avenue in Jasper and is believed to be related to the late Hayden T. Mayberry, who died in 2019.
