TUSCALOOSA COUNTY, Ala. ( WIAT ) — The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency reports its troopers were in a vehicle pursuit involving a 15-year-old driver that started in Cherokee County and ended in Tuscaloosa County on Saturday.

The ALEA stated the pursuit started around 7:20 a.m. Saturday when a Centre police officer attempted to stop a Nissan Armada. The driver of the Armada did not stop, leading to a police pursuit.

The pursuit went south on U.S. 411 before continuing onto I-59. The Armada hit two civilian vehicles in Jefferson County. The pursuit concluded in Tuscaloosa County when the Armada left the road, striking a fence and building while exiting I-59 at mile marker 77. The Armada’s driver fled on foot, but an ALEA trooper apprehended them.
