DIA reveals 6 new train cars for increase in passengers
Denver International Airport is improving the passenger experience as more people travel in and out of one of the busiest airports in the country. On Tuesday, DIA introduced six new train cars to help with the increase in travelers.DIA CEO Phil Washington said the new trains can carry about 850 more people per hour compared to the old trains. The new trains will serve all concourses. "These new cars will also reduce the time between arriving trains and allow Denver International Airport to run a more efficient operation and operating schedule," said Washington. DIA plans to add 20 more trains later this year and early next year.

Central City Opera is the newest inductee to the Colorado Music Hall of Fame, along with others in the "Opera in the High Country" class. The U.S. Highway 50 bridge over the Blue Mesa Reservoir closed to traffic in April when concerns arose about whether driving across was safe. Slide causes service disruption on Durango & Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad
A slide has covered a portion of the tracks with debris and rocks of the Durango & Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad. The slide happened on Monday night at milepost 486 which is just north of Needleton in southwest Colorado. The slide caused an interruption of service to Silverton and both Silverton trains were rerouted to Cascade Canyon on Tuesday. Maintenance crews worked to clear the slide and restore the tracks. Bicyclist killed after vehicle rolls over into center median of I-76
The Colorado State Patrol is investigating a deadly rollover crash that left a bicyclist dead early Tuesday morning. The crash happened on I-76 near Sheridan Boulevard northwest of Denver. State troopers rushed to a report of a single-vehicle rollover and car fire in the center median of I-76 about 4:30 a.m. Tuesday. When troopers arrived, they found the bicyclist had died at the scene of the crash. The driver was the only occupant of the vehicle and was rushed to the hospital with serious injuries. The Colorado State Patrol said that the crash remained under investigation on Tuesday afternoon. No charges had been filed at that time. The identity of the bicyclist who was killed will be released by the Adams County Coroner's Office.
Denver replaces Indy Eve fireworks with drone show
The Civic Center Conservancy has re-imagined it's annual Indy Eve celebration; and this year, it will include a drone show. Many cities around the world have replaced fireworks displays with animated drone shows. This will be Denver's largest drone show ever, with 300 machines in the air at one time. One of three responsible for deadly Denver house fire sentenced to 60 years in prison
The last of three people responsible for the deadly fire in Denver's Green Valley Ranch neighborhood in 2020 received his jail sentence on Tuesday. A judge handed down 60 years in prison, the maximum possible sentence, to Kevin Bui on Tuesday. Five Senegalese immigrants died in the fire on Truckee Street. Two of them were young children.
