Wildfire grows near Lookout Mountain 00:28

Firefighters were tackling a wildfire called the Goltra Fire near Lookout Mountain on Tuesday. The fire was burning above Highway 6 west of Golden.

In an update, Jefferson County Sheriff' Office said the fire was 10 acres in burn size, and there were no threats.

The fire was sending smoke that could be seen from Denver's Cheesman Park.

The sheriff's office believes lightning was a likely cause of the fire. Golden Gate Fire Protection District was leading the ground response. Crews had to hike to reach the flames.

The fire was burning in a remote area with limited road access. CBS News Colorado's helicopter was able to fly above the response, where there were no homes or buildings immediately in the area.
